HOW TO: SMOKE AT YOUR CRIB
Your whole building doesn’t need to know you’re vibing with the herb—keep it low-key! Smoking indoors comes with its own set of rules, especially if it’s your spot. You might be all about that Blue Dream aroma, but not everyone’s feeling it. Whether you’re in a legal state or not, let’s keep the neighbors out of your business and make sure your crib stays fresh.
A Guide to Smoking At Your Crib
Pick a Sneaky Spot.
The further back you are from the front door, the better. The living room might seem like the chillest place to light up, but it’s not always the smartest move if you want to keep things quiet for your roommates and neighbors. Find yourself a room that’s tucked away for maximum stealth.
Mask That Dank with Some Good Smells.
Before you spark up, light a candle or some incense to cover up the smell. If you're going with a candle, light it at least ten minutes before you smoke so it can really fill the room. We recommend incense because it’s quicker—try grabbing some Satya Nag Champa or California White Sage. Keep it burning even after you’ve finished to keep the vibes right.
Let Some Fresh Air In.
Crack those windows open while you’re toking. The more air flow, the better—especially if you can cross-ventilate. If you’ve got a fan, set that bad boy on oscillate to push that stale smoke outta there.
Get You an Odor Blocker for the Door.
They isn’t the prettiest, but door odor blockers get the job done. Stick one on the door of the room where you’re smoking and maybe even on the front door to keep any strong smells from escaping.
Cook While You Blaze.
If you’re not trying to do all that extra stuff, consider lighting up while whipping up some food. Nothing hides that loud smell like cooking something savory—meat, fish, or even some good onions and peppers. Kill two birds with one stone: smoke and get your munchies ready!
Hit Up the Bathroom.
If you’re in a pinch, the bathroom is always clutch. Turn on the hot shower, shove a towel under the door, pop a window open, and chill out with your session in peace.
Invest in an Air Purifier.
If you smoke a lot or have friends over regularly, an air purifier is a must-have. Look for one with a True HEPA filter to kick smoke particles to the curb, along with a thick activated carbon filter to squash odors. Trust us, an air purifier like the LEVOIT Air Purifier or Rabbit Air Minus is a game changer for keeping your crib fresh, even if you don’t smoke.
